So there was this amazing deal on a cruise. The kind of thing you just can’t pass up. I went, and now I’m back. And still jet-lagged from the nine-hour time difference. All of us on this cruise (the ship holds 148 passengers) were patting ourselves on the back for being smart enough to jump on this deal without a second thought. Those second-thinkers were shut out.

One very interesting thing: there seemed to be a much higher-than-statistically-normal number of left-handed people on this cruise. Though it was my right-handed friend who spotted the deal and told me about it, I (as a lefty) concluded that left-handed people are more likely to take a risk and make a quick decision. Of course there are exceptions (like my quick-thinking friend). But it’s generally accepted that lefties are more creative than righties, so it makes sense to me that a creative mind is more likely to see the possibilities in a situation.
